What is Parent Involvement?
Parent involvement is the
participation of parents in the childcare
operation's activities. It is the commitment of time, energy,
and good
will to promote success in the lives of children.
There are fundamental
principles that underlie any successful parent
involvement effort.

Parents should want the best for their children.

resource in their child's education.

The childcare center is not solely responsible
for a child's social
and academic achievement.

A parent's focus should be
on the child and his or her success.
Together as partners,
schools, families, and communities can succeed
in educating children to be able to lead happy, healthy, productive lives.
